This Pinot Blanc originates from Weingut Esterhazy in the Burgenland of Austria with intense straw yellow hues. Its aroma is notable for exotic notes of pineapple and mango coupled with orange blossom and thyme. Subtle hints of brioche and light toast come from its aging in a two-year-old Stockinger Y barrel with 30 days on skins, then refined in barrel a further 6 months and 7 months in bottle. Carefully crafted, the wine was left with its refreshing acidity and no malolactic fermentation was done.
