A structured, certified organic Italian rosé showcasing the vibrant fruit, coastal freshness, and culinary versatility of Abruzzo’s signature Montepulciano grape.

Product Overview

Crafted by pioneering organic producer Jasci & Marchesani, the 2025 Nerubè Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC delivers the soul of an Italian red in the vibrant, refreshing body of a rosé.

Harvested from organic hillside parcels sloping toward the Adriatic coast, this wine undergoes a short cold maceration to capture its hallmark cherry-pink hue before fermenting in stainless steel to protect its bright aromatics and tension. The result is a textural rosato loaded with crushed red berries, Mediterranean herbs, and a clean, savoury mineral finish.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Brilliant, jewel-toned cherry red (cerasuolo).

  • Nose: Expressive aromas of ripe wild strawberry, sour cherry, and pomegranate, accented by wild herbs and crushed stone minerals.

  • Palate: Juicy, dry, and balanced with energetic acidity. Flavours of fresh red currant, tart cherry, and cranberry lead into a delicate hint of bitter almond on the persistence.

  • Finish: Crisp, structured, and savoury with lingering mineral lift.

Food Pairing & Serving Suggestions

Unlike lighter pale rosés, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo possesses genuine weight and gentle tannins that bridge the gap between seafood and meat dishes:

  • Classic Abruzzese: Brodetto (coastal seafood stew), arrosticini (grilled lamb skewers), and maccheroni alla chitarra with tomato and basil.

  • Everyday Tables: Neapolitan pizza, salumi and cured charcuterie boards, grilled salmon, or roast chicken with rosemary.

  • Service: Serve lightly chilled at 10°C – 12°C (50°F – 54°F) to allow its aromatic depth and palate texture to shine.
