Trullo Di Pezza

Trullo di Pezza is a boutique organic winery located in Torricella, near Manduria in the heart of Puglia’s Primitivo region. Founded in 2012 by sisters Simona and Marika Lacaita, the estate takes its name from a historic 1830 farmhouse situated among olive groves and the renowned “Terre Rosse” soils of Manduria. Spanning about 50 hectares of vineyards, the winery operates fully on-site, combining modern technology with respect for traditional Apulian craftsmanship and the surrounding rural landscape.

The vineyards are cultivated organically, using the Guyot system and minimal irrigation in the hot southern climate. The red, mineral-rich soils and the coastal breezes of the Ionian Sea create ideal conditions for balanced ripening and complex flavor development. Trullo di Pezza’s varietal focus includes Primitivo, Negroamaro, Aglianico, Fiano, and limited international grapes such as Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their wines—like Licurti Primitivo di Manduria, Dieci Grana Fiano, and Speziale Negroamaro Rosato—exemplify the region’s intensity and freshness. With a distinctly feminine and sustainable approach, the Lacaita sisters have built Trullo di Pezza into an emblem of modern Apulian artistry rooted in deep family heritage and organic principles
