Domaine Patrice Moreux is a historic winery with roots tracing back to 1677, when Edme Corty founded a small estate in Pouilly, and André Moreux planted the first vines in Sancerre in 1702. The winery's legacy spans 12 generations, blending two prestigious Loire appellations — Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre — united through the 1955 marriage of Jeannine Corty and Raymond Moreux. Their wedding gift was a prized 4.5-hectare hillside vineyard parcel called "Loge Aux Moines."

Patrice Moreux took over the domaine in 1979 with a vision of preserving and enhancing the family's winemaking heritage. Today, the estate is managed by Patrice’s twin sons Arnaud and Julien, who have been at the helm since 2009 and 2011. They maintain a strict philosophy focused on terroir expression and purity, using natural fermentation with native yeasts, minimal intervention, and biodynamic-inspired practices. The estate cultivates about 36 hectares, including 6 hectares in Sancerre.

Their vineyards lie in highly regarded zones with Kimmeridgian marl and limestone soils, benefiting from a cool continental climate conducive to producing elegant Sauvignon Blanc wines of minerality, finesse, and complexity. Domaine Patrice Moreux wines are not blockbuster styles but refined, terroir-driven expressions that showcase the freshness, structure, and mineral character emblematic of Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre.
