Tomàs Cusiné is a renowned Catalan winemaker and the founder of the Tomàs Cusiné winery, located in the village of El Vilosell in the Costers del Segre region, about 100 km southwest of Barcelona. Established in 2003, the winery represents Cusiné’s first fully independent project after years of experience at his family’s estates, Castell del Remei and Cérvoles. His mission was to craft wines that express the character of the Les Garrigues landscape and showcase the nuances of high-altitude vineyards situated over 700 meters above sea level.
Cusiné is celebrated for his meticulous approach to viticulture and blending, combining early-harvested grapes for freshness with riper fruit for richness. His wines emphasize balance, aromatic intensity, and terroir expression, often earning praise for their elegance and precision. The estate’s vineyards span around 30 hectares and produce red and white wines under the Costers del Segre appellation with sustainable and vegan-friendly methods.
Today, Tomàs Cusiné oversees a group of acclaimed wineries—Tomàs Cusiné, Castell del Remei, Cérvoles, and Cara Nord—exporting to more than 40 countries and securing a prominent place among Catalonia’s leading wine producers.
